Army Vehicles
While we were staying at the Elkhart County Fairgrounds in Goshen, IN, we were treated to an “added attraction” of old Army vehicles that were personally owned, as they were on a trip to “Retrace the Route of the first US ARMY Transcontinental Motor Convoy across the United States along the Lincoln Highway”. They were driving from Washington, D.C. to San Francisco, CA, from June 13 to July 8. The Convoy was most interesting and included an old Airstream trailer and an Airstream trailer in Army green. One of the participants was dressed in his old Army uniform, and he was only 94 years old! Also, the couple in the Nissan was from France!
Our next stop will be Wheaton, IL from which we will drive into Chicago to visit the Shedd Aquarium.
See You down the road
